Peter is founder and CEO of Cooper Sydney and has over 20 years of blue chip technology and finance experience
across most parts of the industry value chain from exchanges to funds management and international private banking, most of it living, working and learning in a diverse range of international locations.
Companies he has held senior roles with include Rothschild, Macquarie Bank, Australian Securities Exchange, Standard Chartered Bank and a range of niche global or regional leaders mainly in financial technology who have subsequently been acquired by NASDAQ/OMX and related firms.
Peter is an
internationally known financial technology specialist, commentator, speaker,
strategic business technology architect, negotiator, futurist, blogger and advisor to the public and private
sectors. He particularly enjoys mentoring entrepreneurs because of the huge payback to the individuals and the nation when they are eventually successful with worthwhile goals.
Pete considers himself a strategic geek turned serial entrepreneur, commercial business innovator & investor with a passion for starting or re-engineering institutional business units and start-ups. He is also a long time mentor and contributor to the startup scene, angel investor, government 2.0 contributor and co-founder of SydStart and Coinr.
