What do you do?
Cooper Sydney are expert international business technology consultants first, and angel investors second.
Why do it that way?
We use our consulting skills to help large and small firms. The revenue generated is reinvested as part of our angel philosophy to developing and mentoring innovation and giving back or paying it forward to the next generation. We think it is a nice balance, it is also personally and financially rewarding and of course sustainable in so many ways.
Why would any entrepreneur invite an angel into their business? - Angels contribute skills, time and cash that entrepreneurs typically need.
- Appropriate experience reduces risks and can help identify new opportunities.
Why would any entrepreneur become an angel themselves? - Angel investors achieved an average of 27% internal rate
of return (IRR), which is the highest, long-term investment returns.
This compares favorably to early-seed VC investing (21.2%), later-stage
VC investing (14.4%) and the stock market (8.22%). (Sources: Kauffman Foundation, Thomson Venture Economics, National Venture Capital Association, S&P 500 Index)
